I'm a Chicago based visual artist currently focused on exploring a variety of collage techniques: appropriation as a discursive act, an interweaving of disparate elements into new hybrid structures. This exploration can take the form of collaged book fragments embedded in layers of resin, video collages, sound experiments and installations of found materials. I am interested in combining precise details from different visual languages into a single surface or environment in order to foment new connections between them.
I currently teach art at North Park University, including drawing, 2D, photo, and an occasional art history course.

I also play music in a number of Chicago projects: Plastic Council, Angela James, and various one off improvisational duos/groups.
Also curate the Relax Attack Jazz Series at The Whistler, and co-curate the Comfort Music series.
